In the name of God amen this ? Day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty two I James Watson Senior of Johnston County in North Carolina planter Being very weak tho of perfit memory thanks be to God for the same calling to mind and memory the mortality of my Body and Knowing that it is appointed for all men to once dy so therefor I make and order this to be my last will and estament and first I give and Recommend my soul into the hands of God and my Body to the earth to be Decently Buryed hereafter mentioned item for love much I give and Vequeath to my Beloved Wife all my Estate During her Wodowhood or life and after her Decese I desire to give to my son Balum (?) Watson my plantation whereon I live- item to my Beloid son James Watson one pot I give- item I give to my Daughter Elizabeth Watson one cow and calf - item I give to my son one pot - item I give to my Daughter Sele (?) Watson one cow and calf - and the rest of my Estate to be equally Devided amongst my Dear childrin I mean as above mentioned after my wifes death and Herein I apint William Brown and my son Soloman Watson to be my Executors of this my last will and testament I confirmed Declaring this and No other to be my Last will and testament and in sentisfaction and confirmation hereof the above sd James Watson thereunto set my hand and seal on the above Date and will.....
