Mary Rose (Perreault) Dirago
HAVERHILL -- Mary Rose (Perreault) Dirago, 88, died yesterday at Merrimack Valley Hospital.
She was a dressmaker for Madame Coty, worked in the local shoe industry and was a layout operator for Western Electric Co. in North Andover before retiring in 1971.
Born and educated in Haverhill, Mrs. Dirago attended St. Joseph Grammar School and was a member of All Saints Church, the Ladies of Ste. Anne Society and the Telephone Pioneers of America and volunteered for the Hale Hospital Auxiliary. She was also a member of Merrival Campers, the Tilton School PTA and St. Joseph and Western Electric bowling leagues and worked with theater groups making costumes.
The widow of Vincent Dirago, she leaves son George and his wife Cammie of Haverhill; daughters Marie Marzioli and her husband Alfred and Theresa Trick, both of Haverhill; brother Adrian Perreault of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; sisters Rita Viens of Haverhill and Priscilla Spaulding of Epping, N.H.; 13 grandchildren' 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, care of All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill, MA 01832 or All Saints Food Pantry, 120 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill, MA 01832.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours are tomorrow from 4 to 8 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Funeral services will be Monday at 8 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial at 9 a.m. at All Saints Church, Haverhill. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Haverhill.
