1. Dr David¹ Darnall was born 1648 in MD?, and died 1702 in Richmond Co. , VA. He married Margritt.

Notes for Dr David Darnall:
David was in St. Mary's Co. MD in 1686. On May 4, 1686, it was shown that he was under a bond of peace. On that date some men were released "...from any charge that might be brought against David Darnall and his supposed and pretended wife and children & etc...". Later David removed to Virginina at the official request of the Maryland authorities. This seems to be a part of the religious turmoil that existed in both Maryland and Virginia because the Roman Catholic Church was recognized in Virginia. Both David Darnall and "Parson" John Waugh were militant non-conformists. David even named his youngest son Waugh. Since it was David who bore the brunt of persecution/prosecution, it seems likely that Waugh knew when to stop fighting and David didn't.

David left Maryland in 1686. He was in Stafford County Virginia in 1689 and removed to Richmond County Virginia buying land there in 1691. His estate inventoried there on June 30, 1702.

After David's death, Margritt named all four sons in a deed that she filed February 1703.

Notes for Waugh Darnall:
Stafford Co. Virginia Tax Records indicate a Waugh Darnall owned land from 1722 to 1728 on Cedar Run. A King George Co., VA will for Waugh Darnall dated June 2, 1726 and executed Oct. 1726 included Son Jeremiah Darnall, Daughters Ann Darnall and Margaret and wife Elizabeth. Vol. 20, page 169 King George Co. Will Book.
