I am just beginning research on my father's family. Here is some general backgroud: - Name: Earl Edwin Lindley - Father's Name: Elihu Lindley - Mother's Name: Laura Haley - Born in Humbolt County, Calif. Word-of-mouth background information: Lindley Family from England (probably Yorkshire) via Northern Ireland. Family came to America circa 1700. Settled in Pa., NJ and/or NC. Moved to Oregon in 1800s. Family connections to Alamo and Gen. George Custer. I would appreciate any information, leads, clues, etc., you may have.
