Shari was born with Spinal Bifida and died from complications of that. She was a joy to all who knew her. She spent most of her young life in and out hospitals. Her smile during her pain brought many a tear to the eyes of the doctors and nurses who cared for her. After giving her another painful shot and receiving a kiss and a smile from Shari, one doctor said with tears in his eyes, "She doesn't play fair".

Shari was with us less than three years but the effect she had on our family was great. She taught us so many things, things we might not have learned if she had not been a part of our lives. She taught us that you CAN smile through anything. We also learned from her how to trust God in all things and that God is a good God even when we don't understand just exactly why things are happening the way they are.

The day she went home to Heaven was a happy/sad day for our family. We were happy because we knew that now she would not suffer any more and sad because we knew just how very much we would miss her.

We will never forget Shari and the love she gave each one of us. She was truly sent by God to bless us.
