| I am researching the Hoye family of Nebraska. John Hoye was born about 1837 in England. John Hoye came to America in the late 1860's or early 1870's with his wife Sarah and their four children. Between 1871 - 1879, John and Sarah were blessed with four more children. I am still looking for information on John's ancestors. The only information I have for this line prior to their arrival in America is that they lived in England. The names of his parents and siblings, if any, are unknown. After John's arrival in America, he became a brick mason. It is unknown if this was his occupation while living in England. Each of John's sons became brick masons as well. The first record I have found on this line of Hoyes is in the 1880 Nebraska Census. Any information anyone might be able to add would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to share what information I have thus far. |
