Reverand SAmuel Vassar, died September 25, 1899, aged 78 years. He was born in Clark County, Kentucky, January 17, 1821. At the age of 4, his parents moved to Clay County, Missouri and remained there for 8 years and then moved to what is now Worth County, Missouri. At the age of 17 he married Miss Bell Lisle, who died April 12, 1880. They were the parents of 9 children. In February of 1882, he married Mrs. Sarah Piburn, who survives him. Sarah was of Harrison County, Missouri. He was a minister for 40 years. He spent a lot of time hunting and fishing with the Indians when he was young. Burial in Hoblet Cemetery, North of Denver, Missouri.
