Notes for Abraham 'Rev' Barnhart:
Abraham Barnhart was born in Franklin County, Virginia on 16 October 1795. He married Elizabeth Naff, his first cousin, in 1818. No record of the exact date of marriage has been found but the marriage bond (license) was issued on 21 October 1818. He was a farmer and a Church of the Brethren minister from 1858 until his death in 1872. His burial place is unknown but his wife was buried in the Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren Cemetery.

Notes for Elizabeth Naff:
Brothers Isaac Naff & Jacob Naff both had daughters by the name of Elizabeth. It was long thought that Elizabeth who m. Daniel Barnhart was the daughter of Isaac Naff & Barbara Moyers. This has proven to be incorrect because:
a) The marriage bond for Elizabeth Nafe & Joseph Flora was signed by Joseph Flora Jr. and Isaac Nafe. The marriage bond for Elizabeth Nafe & Daniel Barnhart was signed by George Nafe (her brother).
b) Isaac Naff's eldest daughter, Mary, never married. She died intestate in Sangamon County, Illinois on 5 August 1868. Her brother Isaac Jr. was appointed administer of her estate. The court document reads in part: "Isaac Naff this day filed in Court an affidavit of the decease of Mary Naff which is here recorded as follows towit: Isaac Naff being duly sworn deposes and says that Mary Naff late of the County of Sangamon and State of Illinois is dead and that she died on or about the 5th day of August A.D. 1868 intestate and it is said that her estate will probably amount to the sum of $700 that said Mary Naff left at the time of her decease Isaac Naff, John Naff, Henry Naff and Elizabeth Flora her heirs." Notes for Jacob P. 'Rev' Flora II:
Jacob lived in Missouri for a few years before returning to Franklin County, Virginia. One of his wives is buried in Missouri. He donated the land that the Antioch church was built on and served as minister and elder in the German Baptist church for a number of years. He was blind for many years later in life.

      93. Mary Elizabeth Roberts, born 22 November 1784 in Manchester, Baltimore, MD, USA; died 11 February 1876 in Harrison Twp, Darke, OH, USA - bur Cedar Grove Cem. She was the daughter of 186. Conrad 'Ruppert' Roberts and 187. Mary Magdalena Frankfurter.

Notes for Joseph Blocher:

Joseph Blocher first appeared on the tax rolls of Manheim Twp, York Co, PA in 1800 as a single man without real estate. In 1802 he was taxed for 100 acres of land, one horse and two cows. He continued to appear on the tax rolls through the 1826-27 tax year when he and his family moved to Darke Co, Ohio.
He and his family are found on the 1830 US Census in Harrison Twp, Darke Co, Ohio. He probably settled on land owned by his father-in-law, Conrad Roberts. On 28 July 1828 Conrad Roberts and his wife Sarah sold the SE 1/4 of section 32 to Joseph Plucher of Harrison Twp, Darke Co, OH, "son-in-law" for $1.00 and "consideration of love and affection." This land had been patented to Conrad Roberts by the President of the United States on 24 Feb 1820. In 1830 Joseph paid taxes on 157 acres in sec. 32, 189 acres in the south 1/2 of sec. 20 and 156 acres in the SE part of sec. 29, all in Harrison Twp. On 7 June 1832 Joseph Blocher and wife Elizabeth sold the land in sec. 32 to their son John R. Blocher.
Joseph died 31 Aug 1842. His will, written 14 Apr 1842 with a codicil added on 15 Apr 1842, was probated on 8 Oct 1842. Elizabeth died 11 Feb 1876. They are both buried in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Henry R. Blocher son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Roberts) Blocher was born on 2 Dec 1807 in York Co., Pennsylvania. He moved to Darke Co., Ohio, in 1826 when the family settled there in Harrison T. On 13 Mar 1831 in Darke Co. he married 1) Mary Blocher who was born 12 Sept 1803 in Maryland.
Henry Blocher began paying property taxes in 1833 on the 157 acres in sec. 32 of Harrison T., having bought this from his father on 7 June 1832. Part of this farm was sold to Henry's brother David in 1834 and the remainder was sold on 4 Dec 1858 to C.C. and D. Walker. Other land transactions are recorded in Darke Co. for Henry and Mary Blocher, buying and selling land in Harrison T. and Washington T. Henry R. Blocher was named as administrator of his father's will, and as such signed the deed whereby his brother-in-law, Edward Brown, bought his father's farm.
Henry Blocher and his wife Mary were ennumerated in Harrison T., Darke Co. in 1850, but were not found there in 1860. It is thought he may have moved to Wabash Co., Indiana, where his brother Daniel and sisters Sarah and Elizabeth had gone. He was ennumerated in Chester T. Wabash Co., Indiana in 1870. Mary is not living with him, and her place and date of death are not known.
Henry Blocher married 2) Azeneth McFadden on 13 Mar 1879 in Carroll Co., Indiana, and they were living in Camden, Carroll Co., in 1880. Henry Blocher died 25 May 1887 at Bringhurst, Carroll Co. His obituary appeared in the 'Wabash (Indiana) Plain Dealer' on 3 June 1887. No evidence has been found of Henry Blocher having had any children.

ISAAC BOLLINGER was born 12 September 1787, probably in Baltimore Co., Maryland. He married ANNA BLOCHER about 1811, probably in York Co., Pennsylvania. She was born 8 March 1791 in York Co., Pennsylvania, daughter of JOHN and ELIZABETH (DERWACHTER) BLOCHER.
ISAAC BOLLINGER of York Co. was listed as son and legatee in the will of his father, Joseph Bollinger, and received $60.00 US money in a deed from David Hoff on 2 June 1826. Isaac was on the tax list in Heidelberg Twp, York Co, PA for 1824 through 1836, working as a laborer on 29 acres of land. He was listed on the census for Heidelberg Twp. in 1830 and 1840 and in Manheim Twp. on the 1850 census. He died on 24 Aug 1861, age 73 years, 11 months, and 12 days, in York Co. and was buried in the Church of the Brethren Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Codorus Twp., York Co., PA.
