It has always been my ambition to trace my family but was always told that it would become too difficult. Well, after just over a year's research I have found over 1400 individuals in and around the Gloucester & Somerset area of England. My files go back to the 1700's. Mainly St Phillips in Bristol and the Chew Magna area of Somerset. Originally I wanted to find my own connection to Wales, seeing that Bristol is only a short distance away - but so far I have been unable to find any link. My GREAT thanks does go to my cousins (not sure how many times removed), who I have found on the internet, for lots of information. Susan Cruickshank & Maureen De Bolle have also provided invaluable information regarding the Hazell/Hasell/Hassell family. Thanks also goes to our family friend Carole Fry who is also looking for Jones' as we were told that we were related! - Carole has been looking for the past couple of years but still is unable to find the link - but has lots & lots of information on Jones' in the Bristol area - see the webpage link below.
