Lindsey and Martha and their children were found in the 1850 Coaltown, Precinct #9, House 94, Dwelling 97) Carter County, Kentucky census (pg 226, line 27). Lindsey was listed as a laborer. Was in 1870 census for Lawrence County, OH and 1880 census in Boyd County, KY.

Killed in battle at Prairie Grove, Arkansas in the Civil War. He was a corporal in Co. H. Enlisted in August 1862. Was buried at Fayetteville Ar. or Springfield, Mo. Moved to Riverside Cemetery and is buried next to wife Nancy in Plot G, Riverside Cemetery, Hannibal, Missouri
