HOMER LOCKE
Glouster - Homer L. Locke, 72, of Route 685, Glouster, died Tuesday, Aug 30, 1994, at his residence. Borm August 14, 1922, in Athens County, he was the son of the late James Henry and Flossie Bescoe Locke.

Mr. Locke was employed at McBee Systems in Athens for 21 years and retired from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources at Strounds Run State Park. He was an Army veeteran of Worl War II and a member of the Jacksonville VFW and Murray City American Legion.

He is ssurvived by a son an daughter-in-law Ken and Kathy of Glouster; a grandson Keith of Glouster; and three sisters, Lovella Wilkes and Gleneta Locke of Columbus and Buela Snodgrass of Chauncey. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Swendrick Locke, in 1989, and a brother Harold.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Cadaras Funeral Home, Glouster, with the Rev. John Wright officiating. Buriual will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Nelsonville, where military gravesite services will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit. Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.. at the funeral home.

Glouster - Irene M Locke, 68, of Glouster Route 3, died this morning at her residence after an exended illness. Born in Modoc near Greens Run, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tony Swedrick. She was a reired homemaker.

She is survived by her husband Homer; two sons and daughters- in-law Ken and Kathy of Glouster, and Larry and Sandy of Reyoldburg; two grand-children; a brother, Chester Swendrick of Upper Arlington; two sisters Edna Houston of Worthington, and Gladys Fellows of Upper Arlington.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Guinther Funeral Home with Tim servers officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Nelsonville.
