James and Joan Carole ( Landis) Loges of Rockford, Illinois

We are researching the background of Joan Carole Landis, born in Rockford, Illinois 8/18/1935 to Russell Landis and Gladys Jones Landis and James Loges born in Clifton, NJ 5/17/1928 to William Gerard Loges and Florence May Dean.

We have made good progress in a few chains tracing the Loges family to Schlesiwg-Holstein in the early 1700's and Joan's mother's line also to Schleswig-Holstein in the late 1600's. However there are other chains that we can not trace back very far on my mother's side (Dean) and on Joan's father's side (Landis).This is what we have as of December 3, 2003. Anything that can be added to this information will be greatly appreciated.
