I am researching the following families:
AMMERMAN, JESTER, LEIGHT, LOKOVICH, MINTO, MYNTA, SLEP, SCHWEIGER, SWEGER, WHEELER
Alfred E. AMMERMAN of Altoona,PA. He was born in 1898 and married Margaret Rebecca SWEGER. They had 3 children.
Aaron LEIGHT family. Aaron was in Butler County, Pennsylvania. His son, Harry Aaron LEIGHT married Florence HAUCK. I don't have the birth or marriage dates, but their first child was born in 1904.
Albert LOKOVICH family of Butler County, PA. He was born in Russia and his father was Klem LOKOVICH. Albert emmigrated to the Pennsylvania where he married Anna MINTO in 1906. They had 7 children.
John MYNTA family. He was born in Ukraine and went to Austria, possibly Wetlina (dates unknown). He married Eva (last name unknown) and had 7 children. The children immigrated to the United States at different times, the earliest date being 1876, and settled in Pennsylvania. Somewhere along the line their name was changed to MINTO.
Harry E. SLEP family. He was born in Hesse-Kassel, Germany in 1836. His father was Louis SLEP. Harry emmigrated to the United States in 1846 from Bremen, Germany and landed in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the founder of the "Altoona Mirror" newspaper of Altoona, Pennsylvania in 1874.
Heinrich SCHWEIGER family. He was born in Germany about 1720 and his family emigrated to the United States at different times, beginning in the mid 1700's. They settled in Perry County, Pennsylvania.
Earl Lawrence WHEELER family of Butler County, PA.
