Lijah Mathanael Lolley and 5. Lou Ada Delilah Grimes. He married 3. Mary Sarah Nunnelee November 29, 1925 in Elba, Coffee County, Alabama.

      3. Mary Sarah Nunnelee, born August 29, 1899 in Good Hope community near Troy, Pike County, Alabama; died October 27, 1967 in Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of 6. John Thomas Bartow Nunnelee and 7. Ida Jane Raley.

Notes for Roscoe Lee Lolley:
Roscoe and Eva were cousins (2nd cousins once removed). Roscoe's gr-grandmother Grimes was a Harrison. Roscoe had planned to marry Mary Nunnelee before he married Eva. He would never explain why he married Eva when he and Mary were planning to marry. After Eva died from complications from childbirth a year later, Eva's parents raised the baby Juanita. Three years later Roscoe married Mary. Juanita never lived with them.
My theory after thinking about it since Tom and I married in1958 is that Eva and Roscoe had been sweethearts since they had grown up together. The new school teacher, Mary Lolley, evidently caught Roscoe's eye, and they began dating. Apparently, Roscoe asked Mary to marry him; she said yes. She went home to Pike County to spend the Christmas holidays and to plan their wedding.
When she returned to Coffee County, she found out that Roscoe had married Eva Dec. 22, 1922!! Knowing Roscoe's personality, I believe Eva said, "Roscoe, why don't we get married?" and he replied, "Okay!"
