  Notes for Ida Jane Raley:
At the death of Ida Jane's mother Mary A.P. Williams Nunnelee in 1911, Ida and John Thomas Nunnelee became owners of the property which Ida's father Ervin Raley had purchased in 1860; Ervin built a cabin on it; the cabin was later enlarged. This was where Ida Jane, Serena Catherine, and John Lee Roy were born. Also the 4 children of Ida and John Tom were born here. Serena sold her one third share of the property to Ida while John Lee Roy sold his to her for $1.00 and love and affection. Ida and John Thomas mortaged the property in 1918 in order to borrow money to buy some hogs; the hogs contracted cholera and died. Ida and John Tom lost the property. None of their children ever talked about it; consequently, the children of John Ervin, Bryant Hubbard, and Mary Sarah did not know of their parents' birthplace until the late 1990's when Bryant' s son Ray learned about it. In 2000 the property belonged to Lowell Carter who turned it into a sub-division, Carter Country Estates. The Williams Family cemetery is located there. It is on the Goodhope-Goshen highway south of US 29.#Homemaker
