I am looking for any descendents of;

Peter and Amy (LOMAX)WASHINGTON

Peter and Amy are shown in the Gloucester Co., VA 1870 census with their sons William and Allen.

William is my grandfather, William Henry LOMAX. married Mollie MOORE. He was born a slave in South Carolina. Oral family history says that William's father was Amy's owner. Other children of Peter and Amy are Lelia and John Francis.

William and Mollie had eight sons (William Moore, Frank, John Allen, Lucious, Howard, James Henry, Robert and Thomas Frissell) and two girls. Robert and the two girls died in infancy. Thomas is my father.

Allen married Annie PRIDE, as far as I know they had no children. A nephew Frank SCOTT, lived with them. I believe he was from Aunt Annie's side of the family.

John Frances married Mollie JACKSON, they had three children, Peter, Marguerite and Susie.

Richard and Jane (KICHMORE) MOORE

Mollie (my grandmother) was the oldest child of Richard MOORE and Jane KICHMORE. Other children of Richard and Jane are, Ella, Betsy, John, Laura, Archie, Maggie, Nannie & Emma.

Ella married John BRIGHT. Ella and John had at least one daughter, Nannie.

Augustine and Rose (WHITING) BOOTH

Augustine BOOTH, my great great grandfather is listed in the 1850 Gloucester Co., VA census, which indicates he was a Free Negro. He was living alone at the time. His wife, Rose (Whiting) a slave, does not show up living with her husband until 1870. The only son that I know of is my great grandfather. Robert, who married Ellen DIXON.

Robert and Ellen (DIXON) BOOTH, according to oral family history, had twelve children. I have only been able to find ten (Andrew, James, John, Rose, Robert, Emma, Augustine, Mary, Jennie Dee and William Jeff).

William Jeff BOOTH (my grandfather) married Mary Janet ALSTON They had seven children (Lydia, William, Jennie Dee, Mary, John, Emma and James Leonard) James died in infancy. Lydia is my mother.

Isaac and Fanny ALSTON

Isaac and Fanny ALSTON are listed in the 1870 census for Warren Co., NC along with their five children; John Henry, Alexander, Mary, Isaac and Fanny.

John Henry ALSTON (my great grandfather) married Maria CHEEK daughter of Benjamine and Tamer CHEEK. John and Maria had nine children; Laura, Ida, Mary Janet (my grandmother & wife of William Jeff BOOTH), Casco, Selma, Louise, John and Walter Rudolph.
