I am researching the Lombness family from the community of Rendalen,Hedmark,Norway. This past summer (2001), my wife Karen and parents, Joe & Betty visited Norway. We were fortunate enough to find the Lombness farm... which is located next to the Lombness (LOMNES)Lake. Ole Embretson (Sondre Bakken) first brought his family to the United States in 1874. He later returned to Norway by himself, where he lived until his death in 1887. I have information on Ole's ancestors as well. In addition, I'm researching the Mayers(Maiers)family descendents. Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have. |
