Alonso de Longoria lived in Asturias in the latter part of the 16th century. He was the lord of La Pontiga an ancient manor in the mountains of Asturias, España. One of his sons Lorenzo de Longoria came to Monterrey, Nuevo León in the year 1620. He started the ancestry of the Longorias who traced the origin of their ancestors to Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, and South Texas.

  • Descendants of Juan Cisneros (36 KB)
Juan Cisneros was the land grantee for Porcion 79 north of the Rio Grande which included over 6,000 acres of land. The Cisneros data shows about 12 generations of some of the known descendants of Cisneros. The mineral and oil rights of his land are in dispute. At the time that Cisneros' tract was sold the rights to mineral, oil, and gas were not part of the land selling transaction. If your Cisneros line is not included, you can send it to me and I will include it in the next GEDCOM file of the Cisneros family.
