Juan Sisneros spelled his name with an "s". Later in the 19th century the "s" was changed to a "c". Sisneros was a primitive settler of Camargo. He was the owner of Porcione 79. Most of the city of Rio Grande City, Texas is located in his land. Title was obtained from the Crown of Spain in 1767.A copy of the entry in Spanish from the Visita General (pp. 61, 147-148) can be provided for a fee of $1.75 BW or $6.00 color.Cisneros' tract is located in present Starr County and contains 6,115.81 acres.
