I have always been interested in History and genealogy since I was about thirteen years old. I never took an active part in genealogy though until my grandmother died in 1993. Since then I have uncovered missing branches of the family and met some distant cousins whose research I have added to my own. Within the past year or two I have tried searching for the branches of my husbands family tree, which has proved to be quite difficult at times.

I am presently researching the following surnames: For my Family BOHNET (Germany/France), LOPIENSKI (Poland/Russia), WJORNO (Poland), GREEN(E) (Connecticut/New York), WETHY, WITHY, MacWITHEE (CT), HOUSER (Germany/NY), MEINACHER (Germany/NY), SMITH (England/NY). For my husband's side: BIRD (NJ/PA), BENJAMIN (NY/PA), HARTFORD (ME/MA/PA), MITCHELL (NJ/PA), HORNBAKER (NJ/PA). I have a great love for history and mysteries which is perhaps why I love genealogy so much. With every branch you find a clue to another ancestor. It makes searching fun and exciting (at least to me) so that when I uncover the information I am looking for, I am both happy and content (if only for a day or two).

What I have included on this page to help you to see how the various branches combine. I have out of courtesy for the living privatized the information. I hope you will enjoy my webpage. For those of my relations who see this, if you would like to donate a picture or pictures that you think should be on my webpage, I would be happy to hear from you.

  • Our home in the Town of New Scotland (46 KB)
    This is a picture of our house in the Town of New Scotland. It is where I spent the first twenty-one years of my life. I didn't enjoy the last 6 years because it was during this time that I became aware that the house was HAUNTED! The house looks much different today. {Picture between 1963-1968}
  • Theodore Bohnet (4 KB)
    This is a picture of my father.
  • Dorothy Miaski & Margaret Zarelli (6 KB)
    Dorothy (Houser) Miaski and Margaret (Houser) Zarelli were sister. Margaret was the eldest of the children of Henry C. Houser and Maud (Noble) Houser.
  • Children on the Porch (25 KB)
    On the back of the picture it says "Ted Bohnet - 1940" so I assume this is my father with his sister youngers siblings Eleanor and Eric.

    Maud was the eldest surviving daughter of Robert Emmet Noble by his 2d marriage to Mary Ellen Smith.

    This is a picture of my great-grandfather, Henry C. Houser, son of John A. Houser and Catherine Meinacher, he was born in 1882. This picture was taken in 1928 which would make him about 46. He doesn't seem very happy from the picture with good reason, his wife Maud whom he loved died 7 years before in 1921 due to complications after having surgery.

    This picture had that name on it, it was amongst my grandmother's things when she died. It was I believe the sister of Henry C. Houser born in the 1880's. I don't know anything about her. If someone out there has her in your family tree and recognizes her, please E-Mail me.
  • Mother and the girls (66 KB)
    My mom, Barbara and Emily sitting on her lap and my eldest sister Joanne standing (I guess I wasn't born yet, or maybe I was in incubation..hehehe)
