Asa Lord's Store in Lord's Square Ipswich

Asa Lord's Store in Lord's Square Ipswich
Asa Lord ran a market in Lord's Square in Ipswich. The area surrounding Lord's Square was the home to a very large part of the Lord family and with the store was the reason for the name of the Square. Across the street was the Burying Ground where 15 generations of Lords are buried. Behind to the right is the Payne School. The picture is from a turn of the century postcard.
