I am currently researching the LOTH's of Virginia and the McCARTHY's of Maryland.

1860 U.S. Census/Richmond, Henrico, VA:

Charles LOTH age 07 pob-VA (great-great grandfather), buried at the Hollywood Cemetary, Richmond VA.
Augusta LOTH age 05 pob-VA
Adolph LOTH age 03 pob-VA, buried at Shockoe Cemetary with J. C. LOTH. Gustave LOTH age 01 pob-VA
Any information regarding these individuals will be appreciated.

In Addition...

McCARTHY, Daniel abt 1844 married Elizabeth McGovern abt 1859 on Dec 12, 1872 in Baltimore, MD. Daniel had served with the 1st MD Infantry, CSA in Virginia. Daniel spent much time in Confederate hospitals, in Danville and Richmond VA. suffering from a severe lung illness. He may have become a blacksmith after his recovery in Richmond/Lynchburg VA. I believe that Elizabeth was from the Baltimore according church records at St Peters Catholic Church in Baltimore. Daniel may have fled to Canada after the fall of Richmond and later returned to Baltimore. Daniel died in 1899 and Elizabeth died in 1928, both are buried at St. Peters Cemetary in Baltimore.
