He was born September 08, 1857 in Prussia Poland--per church records (Source: Washington County, Texas 1900 Census.), and died January 11, 1912 (Source: Family Information sheet.).

Notes for MARIA "MARY" ZIENTEK:
1. According to the 1900 Washington County, Texas Census there were two other daughters named Nastka (Nancy), born 1898 in Texas and Sophia, born 1899 in Texas. They were born after Cecilia. This information was taken from the Polish Footprints, a Periodical of the Polish Genealogical Society of Texas. What ever happened to Nastka and Sophia, I do not know.
2. There were 5 more children born that I know of starting in 1900. They are listed.
3. According to the 1900 Washington County Census, taken from the Polish Footprints , the first six children were born in Texas.

Born September 08, 1857 in Poland and died January 11, 1912.
1. Washington County, Texas Immigration and Naturalization records shows that Willie Baranowski was 25 years old when he applied to become a citizen.
2. His petition for citizenship was filed on 3 Nov 1888: he became a citizen on 24 Sept 1906.
3. The 1900 Washington County, Texas Census shows Willie and Mary living in Brenham, house #29, with the following children: Stacha, 1888; Anton, 1890; John, 1892; Stepan, 1984; Chester, 1896; Cecelia, 1898; Natstka (Nancy), 1898, and Sophia, 1899. All children were born in Texas.
4. The 1900 Washington County, Texas Census also shows Valentin (Willie) was born in 1865. The information on the Census is only as good as the person giving the information. Poles do not celebrate birthday's. They celebrate name day's, therefore it is found in research that the age given by them is wrong in many times. It is usually within a 5 year span.

1. It is told by Sophia Marshall Bartkowiak that her grandmother, Magdalena, a widow in Poland sent her Mother, Valentina to America with another family for a better life. Magdalena was having a hard time in Poland. Valentina was in Michigan and when it was asked to Sophia why they came to Texas, Sophia said that someone told them that Texas was the land of Milk and Honey, so they moved here.
