Notes for Catherine Loucks: Author: terry campbell Date: 31 Mar 1999 12:00 PM GMT Surnames: Koch, Cook, Loucks Classification: Query Thank you but the Catharina Loucks you mention is the wife of Casper Koch, brother of my Severinus Koch, sons of Casper Koch of Montgomery Co., NY. The information I was given but not proved is that my Catherine was baptized 26 Feb. 1750 and that perhaps her parents were Adam Loucks and Caterina Lis Shnell. I'm looking to prove one way or the other. Do you have any documentation for my Catharina? (Source: Koch/Cook/Loucks)
Author: Elizabeth Smith Date: 21 May 1999 12:00 PM GMT Surnames: Loucks Classification: Query Research that I have conducted reflects that Adam Loucks and Catharina Elisabetha (Snell) had a daughter named Catharina who was baptised on 2/26/1750. Sources include "Compendium of Early Mohawk Valley Families" by Maryly B. Penrose and Vol I, "The Palatine Families of NY, 1710". Information provided in the Penrose book indicates that the Montgomery County Dept. of History and Archives, Fonda, NY, was an important source of information. My family traces back to Dietrich, who appears to be Adam and Catharina's firstborn. (Source: Catharina Loucks/Laux)
