| Welcome to our personal genealogy home page. Kimble's 8 great grandparents' surnames were LOVETT, LANGFORD, HEMPHILL, THRUSH, ICENHOWER, LONG, MARTIN, and HENKLE. My 4 great grandparents' surnames on my father's side of the family, all from NY, were ROGERS, DEVOE, OVEROCKER, and WEBSTER. My 4 great grandparents' surnames on my mother's side of the family, all from WV, were DAVIS, GOODWIN, FEATHER, and MARTIN. I have extensive information, (still in book format only), on the ICENHOWERs and WEBSTERs and am currently working on LOVETT, ROGERS, DEVOE, OVEROCKER, and WEBSTER. I have extensive information on the FEATHERs, from the book "The Genealogy of Jacob and Mary (Connoly) Feather Family of Preston County, West Virginia" by Edna Davis Rogers, (my mother). It includes all the information from the book as well as some additional information that has been added since the book was published in 1980. The "Feather Book" is still available for sale. Please do not ask me to just give you the information that is contained in the book. My mother spent over a decade of her life doing the research and paid to have her efforts published. The book is 8.5" x 11", hardbound, over 400 fully indexed data pages, over 100 pages of index, contains over 12,000 individuals, spans up to 9 generations (over 210 years) of the descendants of my immigrant ancestor, Jacob Feather, who was born in 1759 in Frankenthal, Germany. Since 1998, I have been adding individuals, dates, and places for direct descendants of Jacob Feather and for related families. I have added over 4,000 individuals and have included much more information on the "in-laws" than in the original book, such as dates and places.
