Obituary from 11/9/50: James McClain Rites Friday James Johnson McClain, 85, a retired farmer died Wednesday evening at 9:05 o'clock at his home northeast of Trenton in Blackford county. The body was removed to the Crosbie funeral home in Pennville where friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Crosbie home in charge of Rev. John Walter, pastor of the Pennville Friends Church. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery at Pennville. The deceased was born in Wells county Nov. 15, 1865, son of the late Samuel L. and Elizabeth (Fisher) McClain. His wife Alice E. preceded him in death. He is survived by one son, Dewey of near Trenton, one daughter, Mrs. Chole Watt, eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
