Anna M. Lowry Dies in Dunkirk
Funeral Tuesday Afternoon From Redkey U. B. Church
Mrs. Ann Mary Lowry, age 83, died Saturday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Stanley, of North Franklin Street in Dunkirk, of complications and old age. The deceased was the daughter of the late Edwin and Mary Walter and was born in Mercer county, Ohio, August 19, 1859. She was married to aron Morton Lowry and came to Jay county about 44 years ago. Her husband died about 11 years ago in Redkey, where they had resided since coming from Ohio. Six children were born to this union, only two of whom survive, Orie Lowry of Redkey, and Mrs. Edith Stanley, of Dunkirk, besides 10 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren. After the death of her husband she moved to Dunkirk, where she has made her home since, with the daughter, Mrs. Stanley. The body was taken to the Jones Funeral Home for preparation and returned to the Stanley residence where friends may call up to time of funeral. Funeral services will be held from the United Brethren Church in Redkey, Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Rev. W. E. Brown, pastor, officiating. Burial in Hill Crest cemetery in Redkey.
