He married CARMELLAR LOUCRISISE DUFFIE December 15, 1892, daughter of JAMES DUFFEE and HETTIE STRINGER. She was born Abt. 1876, and died Unknown.

Durning the Civil War Augustus Milton was playing on a stone fence in front of the house when some Yankee soldiers were passing, they started teasing him and ask if he was a Yankee and another soldier said "No, he is a damn Reb". The name Reb stuck the rest of his life.

Augustus Milton and Carmillar lived in the Weedon Community until they moved to Brownwood where he bought and operated the "A.M. Weedon and Sons Groceries". The store was conveniently located for the farmers, being on the square and right next door to the O.K. Wagon Yard. He also had real estate interest in Brownwood.

There are some errors on his Death Certificate and this can be attributed to the information coming from his wife, Carmellar Loucrisise Duffie Weedon, who at the time gave the wrong information. It is stated that his father was John Farmer Weedon born in England which we know is incorrect.
