On my mom's side we can trace back to Abraham. Make that Abraham REYNOLDS (b. abt 1789 in NC? and d. 1864 in Choctaw Co. MS.) His father in law was Job GOODMAN. Maternal grandmother was Buena Vista Victoria Martha Ann NORTHCROSS (born MS 1864). Don't you know there has to be a great story with all those monikers? Her ancestry through Northcrosses goes back to to Thomas Norcross (born Sussex Co., VA in 1758). I'd love to validate Thomas' parents. I have Richard Northcross and Jane. I'm told that Jane Stratton married a Joshua Northcross, so we're looking for authenticated data. Other names in this line include BRAKEFIELD, COOPER, DAWSON, MCCALL, and several others.Good info available through FamilyTreeMaker in Reynolds & Roberts page courtesy of Carolyn Griffith (based on research by Merle Stevens). On my Dad's side I'm looking for the parents ofWilliam Franklin LOWE (1854 - 1920). Willie's dad evidently was killed in the Civil War. When his mom remarried, he couldn't get along with his step-dad so he left home and came to Texas--at least that is the family story. Don't know Willie's dad's name or state. Expected it to be Tennessee (around Knoxville). Some info says his dad may have been buried with the Yankees in Georgia. Census records give varying answers to questions of origin. In the 1920 Census, W.F. lists himself AND his parents as being born in Tennessee. W.F.'s wife was Lura GARRISON (Laura in one Census and Lou in another). Her parents were John Garrison and Elizabeth Jane Fletcher. On my wife's side we'll be looking for BROWN, DAVIS, FLETCHER, FOLEY, LOVE and MEYER. I've developed a special interest in George Andrew DAVIS and Pearl LOVE of Erath County, TX. Census dates would put George born in 1880 and Pearl in 1885. My wife's grandmother (Elna George DAVIS) was born in Erath County in 1906. Elna's father was George Andrew DAVIS. There is data available online for a descendant of Squire Boone (Dan'l's father) named George Andrew DAVIS in Erath County, TX who was born in 1880 and married a Pearl LOVE. My current theory is that my wife's ggrandfather is a descendant of Squire Boone. Other evidence shows that "Dick" DAVIS (the BOONE connection) died in Clarendon, TX in 1933 after our George and his family had moved to Donley County (home of Clarendon). And now we have in-laws. So we seek information on Fuller, Hamilton, Gray and Herrington families.
