I began searching for my ancestors four years ago, and it has been one of the most rewarding and yet, frustrating things I have ever done.I could never get bored with Genealogy because it's one puzzle piece after another. Always searching for more bits and pieces about those family members who lived so very long ago.
I can't tell you how many time these past four years that I wished I would have listened more closely to those stories told so long ago to me (by my Grandparents.)But,I didn't because I was having too much fun being a carefree little girl, and all that "stuff" bored me to tears. So... my searches have been more difficult than they should have been, but it has been a wonderful experience to go back into time and grab onto those precious, golden and trying times of those who walked before me.
One day I was surfing the net and stumbled upon an obituary notice, and from that day on is when the puzzle started to fit together. That article brought me together with a relative who "remembered" the old homestead of Grandparents who I could only imagine..........
