Martha Mullins (Mullings?) (daughter of Stephen D. Mullings and Dorcas Garrett) was born Abt. April 01, 1810 in Pendleton District, SC / Pendleton, Anderson Co., SC, and died October 19, 1892 in Greene Co., MO. She married (Adam) Aaron Gurley on December 30, 1828 in Blount Co., AL, son of John West Gurley and Mary Ferebee.

Martha and her husband Aaron Gurley left Alabama to come to Greene Co., Missouri, but stopped in Washington County, Arkansas to put out a crop before coming on to Missouri. While they were in Arkansas, Aaron and two of their daughters died. This was around 1844 or 1845. Shortly after that time Hosea Mullings and John Hardin Rogers (a son of Joseph and Nancy Rogers) went to Arkansas and brought Martha and the rest of her children to Greene County. John Hardin Rogers then married his cousin, Dorcas Gurley.
