Thomas Davey Lowe came to New Zealand from Tasmania with two of his brothers, Francis and Frederick Lowe, in 1864. The Lowe family originated from Lincolnshire and emigrated to Tasmannia in 1854, on application from Samuel Horton esquire.
After the tragic death of their father John Lowe, the three brothers decided to try their luck in New Zealand.
Thomas was married to Mary Ann Willey and they had their first child, Sarah Frances, by this time.
Thomas and Mary Ann settled in Canterbury and had several more children.
My husband Anthony John Lowe is a great grandson and we are anxious to make contact with anyone else researching the same family tree. We would like to share information.
