The McCutcheon-Lubeck Family Home Page

Updated September 5, 2000

We are researching the HENRY SMITH McCutcheon family. HENRY SMITH was born July 8, 1824. He married SARAH IRWIN of the Township of Adjala, Simcoe Co., Ontario, Canada at Arlington on April 8, 1845.
They had 11 children. I will list their names here, however if you contact me I have everyone's birth dates as well. Amander, John, Robert (died age 1), Isabella, Thomas, Robert (died age 23), William, Sarah, James, David, and Alexander (who is my Great-Grandfather)

We are looking for information about the McGorgans. Alexander McCutcheon, above married Mary Francis Emily McGorgan. Mary Francis Emily's mother was Isabella McGorgan, however Isabella was not wed and no one spoke of who the father was. We are trying to find any information that may lead us to solving this mystery.

Ellen McGorgan (Isabella's mother) and her sister Mary McMahon are listed in the 1861 Ontario census, Ellen was 60 and Mary was 62 at that time. The following people were listed as living in the household at the time: Isabella age 26, Margaret age 26, William age 16, Mary Eleanor Douglas age 2, and Robert Gradon (Laboer-age 89)

We know that Mary Eleanor Douglas married Albert P. Boeninger and resided in Chicago, Illinois on Wells Street in 1881.

Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
