This page is for the Luce Family and includes surnames of Luce, Denton, Colwell, Rood, Smith, Allen, Saxton, Bibbins from the New York and New England area; Thorne and Taft from Pennsylvania and Ohio; and Nichols and Fuessle from the Mid-West. While much is known about the Luce descendants from William Henry Luce (1795-1878) and Diantha Colwell (1799-1858), I am seeking the ancestors of this couple. William and Diantha lived in Ossian, NY. William was a wool carder and weaver. To date I have compiled approximately 1700 names in various portions of the family tree.
