Find Family

Greetings! I am a graduate student at the University of Southern Mississippi. School keeps me exceedingly busy, but in my spare time (what little there is), I enjoy working on my family's genealogy.
My mother's side (surnames: GERYK, RAFAJ, BREZOVJAK, KOCIAN, etc.) all came from Moravia and went straight to Texas. As an aside, if anyone out there needs help taste-testing kolaches or poppy seed rolls, I am ready and willing to help out.

My father's paternal line (LUDWIG, PFEUFFER, BEIERLE, KOHN, FUHRMANN, etc.) all came from Germany, went straight to Texas, and there they stayed. My grandfather says they knew a good thing when they saw it. My father's mother, on the other hand, is a little bit of everything all rolled into one. Her lines (RUSSELL, KING, McCORD, GOUGER, PICKARD, etc.) are the only ones I have that did the "typical" American migration across the states. Thank goodness. If all of my lines moved around as much as hers did, I'd probably have to give up this hobby of mine and be committed to an institution!

I am always very happy to share any information I have. Please let me know if you think we might be related.

Czechs and Germans and Hillbillies, oh my!
