  LUMSDEN, Velma Lorraine - 53, Halifax, formerly of Hazel Hill, Guysborough Co., died Friday, November 12, 2004, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late Michael Alexander MacDonald (Mulgrave). She is survived by husband, Cyril F., Halifax; daughter, Sandra Lee, South Korea; son, Sandy (partner Marcel Gallant), Moncton, N.B.; sister, Christina MacDonald, Dartmouth; brother, Michael (Shirley) MacDonald, Mulgrave; many nieces, nephews and many loving friends. There is no visitation. Memorial service will be conducted by the family and Rev. David Wheeler in Canso United Baptist Church, Thursday, November 18, at 2 p.m. Burial to follow in Bayview Cemetery, Half Island Cove. Donations in Velma's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Branch. Cremation arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of Cruickshank’s' Halifax Funeral Home.
