I am researching the Lumpkin Family from Ellaville, Schley County, Georgia. Elijah Lumpkin first appears in the 1870 census. It states in the Census Index that he was born in Oglethorpe, Georga, but I don't know whether he was sold in slavery and transfered to Andersonville, Schley County, where he and his family was when the 1870 census was recorded. He married Emily Thomas officially after the Civil War and they had three sons: Oliver, Josh, William "Will, Willie" and two daughters: Savanna L., Victoria "Vic".

In addition, I'm researching the Roxie Garrett Family of Randolph County, Georgia. She was born in Randolph County area near Cuthbert, Georgia around May 1861. Her father name was John Sheppard, mother name was Rachel. After the Civil War Rachel met and married William Garrett. Roxie, met and married Stewart around 1880, had a daughter, Gertude, and two sons Samuel and three children; her second marriage around 1885 and they were blessed with three sons, and four daughter. Specifically, I'm trying to find out what happened to Elijah oldest son, Oliver and two daughters Family, alone with the Gary's and Garrett's Family.

Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
