Welcome to the Lusenhop/Lussenhop/Luessenhop Family Home Page. I am beginning to do research on these families to see if there is a familial connection to each. My name is Richard (Will) Lusenhop and currently live in W. Lebanon, NH. I am from Cincinnati, OH where the vast majority of Lusenhop's live and are from. My family only has information on Lusenhop's three generations back to the turn of the century. We have long heard of other Lusenhop's with variations in the spelling, but had never actually located any until the advent of the internet. Through the internet, I have located variations in the name including Lussenhop, Luessenhop, & Lusenhof, in both the U.S. and in Germany. In the U.S., there are variants of the name living throuhgout the country but appear to have some connection to the midwest. In contacting a German with the same last name, he suggested that variations in the spelling probably occurred in their translation to English. This suggests to me that there is probably a familial connection to these names. I am hoping that others have had similar questions and may have much more information than I currently do.
