Murdered on last Saturday, in Boise Brule Bottom near Chester...John Crane and Curtis Crane, half brothers, while attending a horse race got into a fight, which resulted in the death of Curtis Crane.

THE CRANE CASE. -- The case of the State vs. John Crane, for killing of his brother, Curtis Crane, came up on Wednesday of last week, occupying the greater part of the day in the closing examination of witnesses. The arguments, which were lengthy, continued during the balance of the day. Cissell, Davis and Nicholson for defendant. Robinson circuit attorney for the State. The case was ably and thoroughly argued by the counsel on both sides., closing with that of Mr. Robinson for the State, which occupied three hours. The defendant was bound over for his appearance at the next term of the Circuit Court. Bond $500.
