Henry Bell (son of John Bell and Martha Dowzell) was born 1840 in Bristol, England, and died date unknown. He married Alice Atherton on 1861 in Queensland.

Notes for Henry Bell:
Henry Bell was a member of the Edmund Atherton expedition into central and northern Queensland which departed from Bald Blair Station at Guyra in 1860. It is after Edmund that the Atherton Tablelands acquired its name.

Henry married Alice Atherton and were the first white settlers in the Plane Creek Valley just south of Mackay in which area can be found Bell's Creek, Bell;'s Mountain, Bells Road. These are between Mackaya nd Sarina.
