Notes for John Lyle:
Served in Capt. Nehemiah Garrison's Company detached to construct Fort Daniel (near Hog Mountain in Jackson County, Georgia) by orders of Brigadier General Frederick Beall to Major Tandy Key. Private John Lyle commenced service on Nov. 22, 1813 and termination of service was Dec. 2, 1813.
1830 Census: John, Elizabeth, their 3 sons and 2 daughters were living in Campbell County, Georgia.In 1840 and 1850 they were living in Paulding County, Georgia

Know all men by these that I John Lyles of the state and District aforesaid for and in
consideration of the sum of one hundred and thirty five Dollars to me in hand paid by
Edward Robertson of the state and District aforesaid have granted bargained and Sold and
released and by this presents do bargain grant Sell and release unto the
Said Edward Robertson one certain tract or parcel of Land lying on the East side of
Sandy run creek in the District aforesaid it being a part of a tract of land whereon
Solomon Gibson now lives granted to Thomas Steibling by his Excellency Charles Pinckney
beginning at an Elm in Hailes line running South 72. E. 25 chains to a red oak thence
So 10 E 13 chains 62 Links to a stake thence So 10. W. 16 chains 25 links to a chestnut
then W. 19 chain 50 Links to a chesnut then N 49. W. 9 chains 50 link to a stake then
No 10 W. 4 chains 50 Links to a persimmon. then No. 12 E 7 chains 68 links to a white oak
then So 73 W. 6 chains 25 Links to a ash and from thence to the beginningTogether with
all and singular the rights and premises thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining
thereunto to Have and to hold all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the
said Edward Robertson his heirs and assigns forever.I do hereby bind myself my heirs
Executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said
premises unto the said Edward Robertson his heirs and assigns against myself my heirs
and against any person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part
thereof witness my hand and seal this the tenth day of October 1807

day appear before me Hugh Meansobe of the Justices of quorem for said District and being

of Interest money thereof she has subscribed her name this twenth day of October 1807.
