We are seeking to exhange information on the following surnames: LYONS [nee Lehane],O'Neil, Riley, Barry, Lehane, Harnett & McGrath, and on my maternal side, WATSON, Banner, Harder, Seymour, Norton & Hunt; on my wife's side LONG, Hirsch, Heller, Sarver, Comp, Fisher, Crouse, & Bisel, and on her maternal side, RIDENOUR, Williams, Humphrey, Averell, Booth, Cooper, & Caldwell. The LYONS [Lehane in Irish] came to the United States in 1859 from County Cork, Ireland, the O'Neil's and the Barry's are also from Co. Cork, as were the Harnett's, the Riley's and the McGrath's are from County Tipperary, Ireland and it was the Lyons, Riley's, O'Neil's and Barry's who emigrated to Indiana; the WATSON's are Scots-Irish from Coleraine, Northern Ireland, who lived in Massachusett's, New York and Michigan, the Banner's [England], Harder's, Seymour's all came to Michigan from New York, as did the Norton's and the Hunt's; the LONG's, Fisher, Crouse and Bisel are from Bedford County, PA, and the Hirsch's, Sarver's, Comp's & Heller's are from Somerset County, PA; the RIDENOUR's are from the Palatinates, in Germany, and settled in Indiana, Williams [Mich], Caldwell [WVA], as were the Booth's and the Harts.
