1712. MARY ELIZABETH⁷ AKERS (MARY ANN⁶ COLLINS, SARAH ELIZABETH⁵ MABE, ARNOLD⁴, ROBERT³, ROBERT², WILLIAM¹) was born September 08, 1886, and died December 10, 1955. She married (1) JOHNNY JONES. She met (3) THOMAS JEFFERSON MABE, son of GILES MABE and HANNAH FULLER. He was born September 12, 1859 in Giles County, Virginia, and died March 11, 1937 in Wythe County, Virginia.

Notes for THOMAS JEFFERSON MABE:

On December 8, 1889 he was elected deacon of the Anchor of Hope Presbyterian Church.

Not sure who Aunt Betsy Collins is; she is reported to by single. she may be Mittie's sister who was never married.

Add children of her 1st husband Edward Ackers (his name btw might be
Aker...I get conflicting info from various folks):
1. Pearl Ackers married unknown Criggar
2. Elizabeth (aka Lizzie) Ackers married Johnny Jones

Add children of her 2nd husband R. J. Hallet (another obscure name, which
may be Howlett)
1. Rose Hallett married unknown Jackson
2. Ethel Hallett married Ernest Jackson

Regarding her 3rd husband Thomas Jefferson Mabe and children:
1. Thomas Jefferson Mabe - add date of birth Sep 12, 1859
2. Son Henry Arthur Mabe - correct first name is Harry
3. Infant Mabe born Aug 13,1901 - add buried in the Mabe Cemetery, Max
Meadows.

4. Daughter Willie Hannah Mabe - was still alive in 1996; add children for
her and Louran C. Jackson:

5. Son Thomas Marshall Mabe and 1st wife Dolly Jackson (Ethel Duncan was
his 2nd):

a. Son Terry - add unknown wife -she died in an auto accident.

6. Son Samuel Jefferson Mabe - you may want to note that he is not the son
of Thomas Jefferson Mabe and Mary Ann Collins. He is Mary Ann's grandson,
son of Elizabeth aka Lizzie Akers (mentioned above); I have no idea who his
father is, but assume Mary and Tom adopted him.

7. Daughter Sallie Lou Mabe - correct date of death is Dec 24, 1906.

8. Son Walter Sanders Mabe - both he and his wife were still alive in 1996.

9. Daughter Ethel Frances Mabe - she died before 1996. I just noticed her
name and that of her spouse, Ernest B. Jackson, are ironically (? I doubt
it) the same as her half sister and her spouse (see Ethel Hallet above). I
have no idea what is right or wrong here, so I'm just making a note about
this similarity.

10. Daughter Ruby Leigh Mabe. Her obit (below) provides some detail that
can be added. She and Marvin Cecil Clark were married Mar 10, 1936.
