1. RHODA1 MABE was born 1820, and died Aft. 1870. She married WLISHIRE NELSON December 30, 1846 in Stokes County, North Carolina, son of LEROANDER NELSON and BETHENIA FLINCHUM. He was born Abt. 1817 in Stokes County, North Carolina, and died 1873 in Dublin, Virginia.

Jim,

I have her m. date as 12-30-1846 to Wilshire Nelson, and together they
had 7 children (Mary Ann, Kasiah J. Catherine, John Henry, James F. Martha
A. M., and Elizabeth J. Nelson.) if yours is any different I would like to
see it. I am going to visit some new found Nelson's in Winston-Salem this
week and do some research at the Forsyth Co. Library. I may even get to go
to Stokes Co. Can you tell I'm new at this. It can be really addictive.

Rhoda is a possible daughter of James and Kisiah Mabe. I based this on the fact an unknown daughter
was in James' 1830 and 1840 census. Rhoda was the name of James' mother. And Rhoda's daughter is named Kisiah. Since it is unprovened I will carry Rhoda's parents as unknown.

  iv.   SARAH NELSON, b. Abt. 1854; m. LOUIS A. TAYLOR, December 22, 1875, Pulaski Co., Virginia.
2. v.   JOHN HENRY NELSON, b. March 01, 1856, Stokes County, North Carolina; d. March 02, 1923, Pulaski County, Virginia.
3. vi.   JAMES FRANKLIN NELSON, b. August 16, 1860, Pulaski County, Virginia; d. July 16, 1940, Surry County, North Carolina.
