1. PRESLEY² MAYABB (DAVID¹) was born Abt. 1820 in North Carolina, and died Bet. 1870 - 1879. He married (1) MARY PEGGY BOLTON in Scott County, Virginia. She was born Abt. 1840 in Tunnelville, Virginia. He married (2) ELETHALINDA BULLEN May 31, 1844 in Stokes County, North Carolina, daughter of ANDREW BULLIN and SALLY UNKNOWN. She was born Abt. 1825 in North Carolina, and died March 09, 1860 in Scott County, Virginia.

The 1850 Stokes County, North Carolina census:
Maab, Presley (30), Malinda(25) and Sally A (5). Presley is listed as a farmer. He and Malinda can both read and write. All were born in North Carolina. They are living between William and Tucker Lawson. On same page as Lewis Mabe, Jr.

Looking for more information on the parents of my great-grandfather, Robert Lee Mayabb (2/28/1865, 4/1/1941), who was a brother to Sarah Rebecca Mayabb,Queen S. Mayabb, Caladonia Mayabb and Fannie King Mayabb. Their parents were Presley Mayabb and Mary Peggy Bolten. Both Sarah and Queen married into the Roach line (Queen married Joseph Newton Roach and Sarah married John C. Roach).

After becoming widowed, Mary P. (Bolten) Mayabb is supposed to have joined up with the Roach, King and Hall families and journeyed to Arkansas about 1879 in an ox drawn wagon. One of her grandsons is supposed to have been Milton Roach. She died around 1905 and is buried in the Oma Cemetary in Arkansas.

If anyone has information on any of the Mayabbs, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you!
