Second Creek Cemetery

Located in Lawrence County, Tennessee. From Lawrenceburg, go to Leoma, turn left on the Rabbit Trail Road. Go to Five Pts., turn right at the crossroads. Go 11/2 miles, turn left and go 11/2 mile to the Second Creek Primitive Baptist Church and the cemetery is on the right. This church was organized June 26, 1830, and has been in continuous use ever since. There is now an attractive brick building and the grounds are well cared for and kept, this be true of the cemetery as well as the church grounds. The first building to be used was a hand hewn log cabin that was used for a school and meeting house for the early settlers living in the area. The cemetery is one of the oldest in Lawrence County, having been established about the time the earliest school and church was started.

White Top Cemetery

(Directions provided by Karen Hall)

Directions from I 77.
Take the Poplar Camp Exit and head towards Austinville. You should pass
a service station on your right. This is the closest bathroom break to
the cemetery. Go about 2 miles and turn left on Loafer's rest road.
Go about 1 mile through the sharp curves. Once the road is in a
straight stretch, turn right and go behind the Martin Crowder
homeplace. Once you pass where the old gate used to be the Mabe section
is the first section on the right.

Use caution. There are sink holes 4ft deep and small holes that you
could sprain your ankle in.
