The following remembrance of William and Alice (Mitton) Shaw was written by their nephew, Lloyd Mitton, of Chatham, Ontario, Canada:

Bill and Alice Shaw lived most of their lives in Walkerville within a short distance of her parents. He worked for the Ford Motor Company. Later in life they moved to Woodstock where their daughter, Donna, lived.
Uncle Bill and Aunt Alice were really great to me when I was in Walkerville visiting my grandparents. On several occasions Uncle Bill took me to Tiger games for he was a scout for the Philadelphia Athletics. One of these games included Lefty Bob Grove pitching for the Boston Red Sox.
Both Uncle and Aunt Alice died in Woodstock.
