For CLAN MACLAREN GENEALOGY RESOURCES see that link under "Related Links" towards the bottom of this page.
This is a work in progress. The idea is to gather information about these two families, Birtwistle and Maclaren, and the families with whom they are related, such as; Marwood, Mclachlan, Abney-Hasting/Loudoun, Compton, Pritchard, Kirby, Barnewell/Trimleston, Farrel/Preston/Gormanston, Craig, Wall, Sandys, Tsuan, de Cerrini, Gaselee, Shaw, Finlay, etc.
Apart from just names and dates, which could well be seen as very boring by some(maybe even most), we were hoping to get more information about the individual relatives, such as family stories (perhaps not too personal, but then again...), life histories, obituaries, press cuttings, etc.. So any contributions will be very welcome and much appreciated.
An easier web address to remember (which has a link to this page) is the “Maclaren & Birtwistle Information" web site at http://home.earthlink.net/~maclaren/
LATEST VERSION. The most complete view, and latest version, of the file (including SOURCES) is at the link under "Related Links" called RootsWeb's "Maclarens Birtwistle & Other Fami…" at http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=maclaren Under the individual names this web site shows "Facts" & "Notes" on that individual(which in some cases includes: obituaries, stories, sources, etc.)
