Norman Fay remembers 56 Florence St well. Chickens were kept there. There was a very narrow walkway where chickens went into the chicken house - one day Norman was supposed to bring them in and it was very cold. He thought he got them all in, but they found one the next day - frozen stiff!

Shortly before her 100th birthday her last great granddaughter, Erin Grace Bassett, was born - her middle name in honor of "Gargie," as she was called by all her grandchildren.
Gargie was a longtime member of the Needham Red Cross, and was active in the Needham Congregational Church.
"Gargie & Bumper" lived on 6 Pinewood Road, in Needham, MA for many, many years. They also had a cottage in Pocasset, MA.
