It is amazing what having children will do to your sense of belonging and the need to find "roots". It was shortly after Ian made his appearance that we started to climb the family tree in earnest. Kim has dabbled off and on for the past 18 years or so (she started right after Cheryl and Jamie were born), but it has now taken on a higher priority in our busy lives.

This is a gift we want to give our children, and their children and their children's children. It is their legacy. After all, how can you possibly know where you are going in life if you have no idea from whence you came?

Come and join us as we climb our tree. Meet the people who have made us who we are. As you explore our different branches, don't be surprised if you find a "nut" or two...

These are their stories--stories which each following generation adds to, builds on, and hopefully, learns from. These are real people, not just a group of vital statistics--people who have laughed and cried, rejoiced and suffered, known the joy of birth and the emptiness of death.

This is an ongoing project--by no means complete. Check back often to see how we are progressing. And don't hesitate to "leaf" your mark behind. If you have any information or questions, PLEASE e-mail us. The sharing of information is critical to this and any genealogical journey.

I want to personally thank all of those who have contributed to this project. I have connected and reconnected to cousins and aunts and friends who have made this possible. It is because of the hard work they have put in that you are able to see life through the eyes of our ancestors. I have gladly taken on the role of clearing house to present the work of not only myself and Craig, but Nell, Carl, Elsie, Jo Ann and everyone else who added leaves to our tree.
